I’m repping commercialism, AKA Santa, for our Christmas Tweets project.

So I thought I should at least download the little guy and carry him around with me.

Here’s my step by step guide to creating your own credit crunch gift idea for Christmas.

Step One

Go to http://www.christmastweets.co.uk/ and download your own Santa (or one of the other characters – I forget who they are now).

Step Two

Print that bad boy out.

Step Three

Cut Santa out whilst wearing your most festive hat. Mind your fingers kids!

Step Four

Fold up your little Santa. No tearing.

Step Five

Place on Martin “The Hit Man” Hearns’ head. Or any other inanimate object.

Revolution Article (image - copy from magazine)

Our Strategy Director, Lex de Wynter, was invited by Revolution Magazine to take part in their recent round table debate about globalisation. That’s him in the middle, next to the interactive manager for Coca-Cola.

The article isn’t online yet, so you’ll just have to go out and buy a copy of the mag if you want to find out what was said. Or you could give Lex a call and invite him over for some biscuits and a chat – he’d love that.

The Royal Marines are one of our clients. And so what better way to raise a bit of money for charity than doing the 10K Commando Challenge assault course around the very same course the Royal Marines complete prior to entry. It’s a rugged cross-country run through Exmouth, interspersed with river crossings, numerous cramped, pitch-black, claustrophobia inducing tunnels and the infamous Sheep Dip, a concrete tube fully submerged under water.

It was a gruelling, punishing race. Not least because many of the team were suffering from the night before. Not to mention Martin “3.3″ Hearns, so called because he hadn’t ran farther than 3.3km during his intensive race preparation.

Here are a few of the highlights:

We managed to raise nearly £1,000 for charity
We came 17th out of 300 teams!!
We drank the hotel out of Sambuca the night before the race
No one died

Rachel Clarke in The Guardian

Our Head of Social Media, Rachel Clarke, was asked to write a piece for the Guardian about keeping blogging honest last week.

It would seem as though it’s all about transparency. So, in the spirit of full disclosure, I have to say that I wasn’t going to blog about this to start with. But then Rachel gave me a new iphone and £100 and I changed my mind. Funny that.

We’re holding a social medial seminar tonight. From twentysix we’ve got Rachel Clarke, Head of Social Media, giving a presentation with lots of nice pictures and a couple of good graphs. She’ll be joined by some of the guys from Cadbury, Google and Carphone Warehouse talking about how their brands are using all that good social media stuff. It should be cool.
